PwC’s Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory (“CMAA”) team within the Broader Assurance Services (“BAS”) business unit advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues relating to IPOs, deals, and other transformational events. We are expanding our diverse team and are looking for experienced accounting professionals.
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Associate, you will work as part of a diverse team of accounting and reporting specialists helping our clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues that occur during moments of exceptional change driven by deals and/or capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients with the preparation of complex accounting and reporting analyses/position papers in relation to deals and/or capital market transactions. Examples of complex accounting and reporting analyses include consolidation assessments, the application of business combination accounting resulting from a merger or acquisition;
- Supporting clients in understanding the reporting requirements when going public as well as the additional reporting requirements when being public;
- Supporting clients with the identification of relevant GAAP difference and the execution of a GAAP conversion resulting from an acquisition, IPO, or other event;
- Preparing benchmark analyses on, for example, financial KPIs or public disclosures;
- Support clients with drafting the financial sections in a prospectus like MD&A or OFR;
- Building and maintaining client relationships;
- Provide coaching to less experienced colleagues;
- Supporting the engagement manager with managing the engagement economics;
- Active involvement in our internal business development activities, contributing to the further growth of our business.
Does this describe you?
As a senior associate, you will be involved in complex deals and capital market projects in the field of accounting and reporting.
You have at least two years of working experience in the following areas:
- Providing advice on a variety of technical accounting and financial reporting matters under Dutch GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP (preferably for, or at, international listed companies and private equity firms) in the context of deal or capital market transactions;
- You have a strong interest in complex technical accounting matters and can perform independent research within the relevant standards (IFRS, Dutch GAAP, and US GAAP);
- You enjoy working in a dynamic work environment with motivated colleagues and have a learning mindset;
- You have the ability to solve complex issues by organizing and evaluating relevant information and guidance;
- Dutch RA title or foreign equivalent is a plus;
- Proficiency in the Dutch language is a plus (both written and spoken);
- You have excellent English language skills (both written and spoken);
- Knowledge of Alteryx and data visualization tools such as PowerBi is a plus.
