Your road to success
Left or right, you are responsible for the execution of the environmental part of the sustainability strategy (Protect our Planet), both from an internal and external perspective. As a member of the ESG Team of Athlon BeNeLux you will encounter an environment where accountability, responsibility and flexibility are key and where possibilities and new opportunities are and can be created by yourself! In this role you work primarily on a Benelux level, but also have close contact with our other colleagues in the other countries on environmental topics. You can do this as an environmental sustainability lead with full focus on:
- the execution of the environment sustainability strategy, driven by our firm beliefs.
- creating inspiring leadership based on the strategy, both internal as external.
- implementing the CSRD on environmental aspects, create a dashboard, maintain and improve the CO2 footprint.
- participating pro-actively in the most relevant external networks and organize internal and external communication regarding to environmental sustainability. Answer questions from the value chain.
- develop input and/ or pilots, related to environmental sustainability, for existing and new products, projects and services.

What do you take with you as environmental sustainability lead for at least 38 of hours per week? Absolutely your enthusiastic, proactive and creative mindset. You also have the drive to act as a sustainability spokesperson within and for Athlon. In addition, you have:
- a master’s degree in business, economics or similar education.
- relevant experience in sustainability projects within a commercial organization and creating thought leadership based on Athlon’s environmental strategies.
- a professional proficiency in English & Dutch.

In addition to building an (international) career, as an environmental sustainability lead, based on 38 hours per week, you can count on a:
- gross yearly salary up to € 74.945,- (including holiday allowance and 13th month).
- employee budget of € 555,- gross per month (this is used, for example, for a mobility scheme, extra salary, extra leave days or pension investment).
- contribution-free pension.
- potential bonus up to 10% of your annual salary including holiday allowance and 13th month (the bonus is 100% based on Mercedes-Benz company results).
- thirteenth month.
- holiday allowance of 8% and at least 26 vacation days.
- 12-month contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
- an extended working from home package.
